302 West - Website Copy

302 West isn’t one concept. It’s many, and that was the challenge.

Located in downtown Stevenson, Alabama, 302 West brings together a café, speakeasy, cigar lounge, bookstore and flower bar, and event space inside a single historic building. My role was to write website copy that gives each space its own identity while still feeling like part of one intentional, cohesive brand.

The copy needed to do more than describe offerings. It had to set expectations, establish tone, and help visitors understand how all the pieces fit together, without overwhelming them. I focused on clarity first, then layered in personality, contrast, and rhythm to reflect the experience of moving through the space itself.

My work included:

- Distinct voice and positioning for each concept, from the warmth of the café to the intrigue of the speakeasy and the refined calm of the cigar lounge

- Cohesive brand storytelling that ties multiple experiences together under one umbrella without flattening them

- Clear, intuitive page flow that guides users through a complex offering in a way that feels effortless

- SEO-aware copywriting to support local discovery while keeping the language natural and inviting

The result is a website that feels curated, not cluttered, and helps visitors immediately understand what 302 West is, how it works, and why it’s worth experiencing in person.
